YNIIQ also known as Gisele, born in 2004, is a Singapore-based artist drawing inspiration from popular culture. Currently pursuing a Diploma in Fine Arts at LASALLE College of the Arts, Gisele embarked on her artistic journey with no formal education in the field.
Exploring her individuality both artistically and personally, Gisele favors mediums such as charcoal, acrylic paint, and digital painting. She also shows interest in experimenting with oil paintings and ceramics, alongside paper sculpture works featuring organic cuts and shapes.
Preferring large-scale formats in all her works, Gisele's creations encompass gestural, spontaneous lines juxtaposed with more focused and structured imagery. Her artistic focus centers on the exploration of chaos and the questions of the in-between, as well as delving into the psychosocial aspects of what makes us human.
